A conclave of eminent citizens from across the country meets in Abuja to discuss the entry of wanna-be president Gerard de Vries. Under the Presidential System of government, anyone can run for President.
To make things easier, there is this other rule: To vote in Nigeria and elsewhere in the world, one has to be registered, have you name listed in a voters' register. Aware of this, Dutch born cowboy singer de Vries decided to take a shot at it. He took his little black book and made his way back in the country music arena. Or should we say: he made his come-back! Supported by his huge popularity way back in the sixties and seventies he quickly managed to fill Dutch stadiums such as the Amsterdam ArenA, 013 in Tilburg, Ahoy in Rotterdam and Bar Dancing 't Zoldertje.
Along with the revenues from the tour he took his savings from the bank, climbed in his truck and road along to his beloved retirement country Nigeria.

Determined to be elected for president, Gerard applied for a Nigerian passport. Soon he was offered dozens of passports and he bought the lot! Gerard is now the happy owner of 12 Nigerian passports. We bought one just to show it to you at blubbie.com. We got it for only US $20 which is truly a bargain!
And that's all history as we know, for Gerard now officially is the President of Nigeria! Well done!
Greetings of the season. |
